About Us
St. Francis Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescue, rehab, and finding quality homes for injured, abused, & neglected animals (primarily dogs and puppies). Although the focus of care will be for the animals of Houston County, Tennessee SFAR will still render assistance to animals of Montgomery County & surrounding areas on a case-by-case basis & on the availability of resources. We were officially incorporated on March 24, 1999, although our President, Annamaria McCoy, has been rescuing animals for several years. Upon arrival each animal is heartworm tested, dewormed, brought up-to-date on shots (DHLPP) including rabies, and put on heartworm prevention. All of our animals will be spayed/neutered. No exceptions!
S.F.A.R. is located near Clarksville, Tennessee near the Kentucky/Tennessee border, approximately 1 hour north of Nashville. As our main foster facility is also a private residence, it is not open to the general public. Specific directions will be provided upon submission and approval of an Adoption Application.
S.F.A.R. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Your donations are tax deductible!
