SFAR Dogs (and the Occasional Cat)

These are just some of the dogs that have come through the doors at St. Francis Animal Rescue in the past couple years.  Most were simply abandoned or dumped by uncaring owners, a few were surrendered by elderly caretakers that could no longer take care of them.  Not all of these dogs found loving forever homes.  Some stayed with us until their time came to go to Rainbow Bridge.  All were loved and cared for while here.  Although many of these pets have gone to wonderful homes, the sad fact is, many did not. We never euthanize healthy, adoptable pets.  The photos with black backgrounds are the ones that did not find loving homes and died while in rescue with us.  There are just to many dogs and cats in rescue and shelters to find those loving forever homes we all want to see them go to.   Please, be a responsible pet owner, take care of your pets and don't delay spaying or neutering them.
